World Programming contributes to Meeting of the Minds 2015 Civic Hackathon event
WPS software and support made available to all participating teams
California, US – 05 October 2015 – World Programming announce their contribution to the "Meeting of the Minds Civic Hackathon” event taking place in Richmond, California on the weekend of October 17-18th 2015.
World Programming will provide WPS software and on-site support for any teams taking part in the event that would like to create and run programs in the SAS language. WPS software will be available for use on a server provided by Cisco, and also for installation onto Hackathon teams own workstations running Linux, macOS or Windows. Teams who use WPS software at the event will be given a licence at no cost, and can continue to use the product and all of its features for an additional 6 months after the event.
The purpose of the Hackathon is to build civic-oriented applications using data provided for Economic Development, Public Spaces, Health and Environment, Sustainability, Digital Divide and Education.
A $5,000 cash prize from Qualcomm is awarded to the winning team of the event.
