WPS Now Available for Use on Microsoft Windows® 7 and Microsoft Windows Server® 2008 R2
World Programming Ltd today announced that the recent new version of its application, WPS 2.4, works with Microsoft Windows® 7/Microsoft Windows Server® 2008 R2 to offer customers enhanced security, as well as innovative user interface features and reliability improvements.
WPS provides an alternative and competitively priced interpreter for use by the data analytics community. WPS is supported on multiple platforms and on the Windows platform it has the advantage of providing a powerful and user friendly GUI, known as the WPS Workbench. This allows users to create, edit, maintain and run applications written in the SAS language and provides support for interfacing to popular database products. By building products that are fully compatible with the new Microsoft software platforms, World Programming continues to demonstrate their leadership in the distributed analytics market place.
“Our ISV community is alive with innovation, and we’re committed to helping our partners drive the next generation of software experiences”, said Ross Brown, Vice President of ISV and Solutions Partners for the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft. “Adding compatibility for the latest Microsoft operating systems helps ISVs to stay ahead of the competition and give their customers access to cutting-edge technologies.”
“World Programming is excited to launch this new version of WPS”, said Oliver Robinson, Director at World Programming. “Making our application compatible with Microsoft Windows 7/Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 helps us offer our customers compelling benefits, including intuitive user interfaces and sophisticated data management features.”
WPS is available for other popular versions of Windows and Operating Systems and supporting WPS on Microsoft Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2 is yet again proving to the data analytics community that World Programming is committed to expanding WPS support and keeping WPS at the forefront of technology.
